MCF Supports Girls’ Empowerment Skills Programme at the St. Vincent Girls’ High School
Oct 12, 2026
Through the programme, 133 second-form girls participated in hands-on training across a diverse range of skill areas, including:
- Basic snacks
- Bag making
- Mechanics
- Chocolate making
- Woodwork
- Nail technology
- Braiding
- Event planning and decor
- Customized tumbler printing
- Fish processing and preservation
- Sea moss making
The students had the opportunity to learn directly from experienced facilitators and put their new skills into practice by creating a variety of products. Beyond learning practical techniques, the programme encouraged students to explore how these skills could be developed into future opportunities and sources of income.
A highlight of the initiative was the Display Fair, which provided students with the opportunity to showcase their work to their peers, parents and invited guests. The event celebrated their accomplishments while allowing the wider school community to see the creativity, effort and potential demonstrated throughout the programme.
MCF was delighted to contribute to the programme by supporting the engagement of facilitators and helping to make the closing activities and Display Fair possible. MCF remains committed to supporting initiatives that give young people the opportunity to discover new talents, develop practical and technical abilities and gain confidence in what they can achieve.
MCF congratulates all of the students who participated in the 2026 Girls’ Empowerment Skills Programme and commends the Girls’ High School for creating opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom.
