Georgetown Technical Institute (GTI) held its Graduation Ceremony for the academic year 2023-2024 on Friday 28th June 2024 at which, thirty (30) Mustique Charitable Foundation Partial Scholarship Awardees successfully graduated from their respective programs for the 2023-2024 academic year. The programs offered for the 2023-2024 academic year included Electrical Installation, Food and Drink Service, Food Preparation and Cookery, General Construction, Plumbing and Welding.
The theme of GTI’s ceremony was “Empowering this generation through skill” and Mr. Kendal Sam (GTI Principal) encouraged the trainees to seize all opportunities to develop themselves and make themselves more marketable. In addition, he asked them each to acknowledge the power of technical skills as they prepare you for the real world.
At the ceremony, during her brief address, Natalia Gill (MCF Project Director) encouraged trainees to “set goals, be patient and to always be open to learning and learning is a constant trait and can only be used to better yourself.” She also stated that Technical and Vocational Education has been one of the main focus areas of the Mustique Charitable Foundation due to the value and importance of having skilled based persons across the region.
Mustique Charitable Foundation is heartened by the performance of all Awardees for the 2023-2024 academic year and hope that the MCF Partial Scholarships will continue to benefit trainees in the year to come.
