All Vocational Scholarship Project Updates

The Graduation Ceremony for Kingstown Technical Institute (KTI) for students of academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 took place on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 and Mustique Charitable Foundation (MCF) is pleased to announce that twenty (20) trainees from academic year 2020-2021 and twenty-four (24) from academic year 2021-2022 who were awarded MCF Partial Scholarships, successfully graduated from their respective programs.

The Graduation Ceremony for Barrouallie Technical Institute (BTI) for the academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 took place on Wednesday 2nd November 2022 and Mustique Charitable Foundation (MCF) is pleased to announce that thirty (30) trainees from academic year 2020-2021 and forty-two (42) from academic year 2021-2022 who were awarded MCF Partial Scholarships, successfully graduated from their respective programs.

The official ceremony to mark the handing over of tools and equipment to trainees in The Mustique Charitable Foundation (MCF)/Barrouallie Technical Institute (BarTech) Startup Grant/Loan Project took place on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 10 am at the Barrouallie Learning Resource Centre.

Georgetown Technical Institute (GTI) held its Graduation Ceremony for the academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 on Thursday 30th June 2022 at which, thirty (30) of MCF Partial Scholarship Awardees successfully graduated from their respective programs for the 2020-2021 academic year and twenty-six (26) from the 2021-2022 academic year.

On Friday 11th February, 2022, the Handing Over Ceremony of Partial Scholarships to students at the St. Vincent & the Grenadines Community College-Division of Teacher Education was held at the SVGCC Community College, Villa Campus. This academic year, 32 scholarships are being awarded to final year students at the Teacher Division and will assist recipients with defraying some of the costs associated with pursing their studies.

My name is Sobrina Patterson and I hail from the picturesque, farming community of Rose Hall. I am a past student of the Bishop’s College Kingstown and a graduand of the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Community College. I am the holder of an Associate Degree in Psychology. After graduating from the Community College, I was desperately seeking employment. I submitted numerous applications to various companies all to no avail. I finally decided to apply for the Y.E.S, ( Youth Empowerment Service) program. I was successful and was assigned to the Troumaca Ontario Secondary School where I was guided to assist with the instruction of English A and Office Administration.

Kingstown Technical Institute (KTI) held its Graduation Ceremony for the academic year 2019-2020 on Wednesday 9th December 2020, at which, nineteen (19) of MCF Partial Scholarship Awardees successfully graduated from their respective programs.

For the fifth year, The Mustique Charitable Foundation has awarded Partial Scholarships to students at the St. Vincent & the Grenadines Community College-Division of Technical and Vocational Education (SVGCC-DTVE). This academic year 25 scholarships are being awarded to 20 students pursuing the final year in their Associate Degree and five (5) students pursuing the final semester in their Certificate Programme for a combined value of US$22,930 (EC $61,640).

The Mustique Charitable Foundation funds the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College DTVE Youth Employability Skills Summer program. The program runs for 7 weeks and covers 4 applied vocational skills courses: garment production, basic electrical installation, bar operation and service, vehicle engine systems, soft skills and human relations, and basic record keeping, costing and estimation.
